LILA45 Celebration Event - September 2023

WHAT

To commemorate LILA’s 45th anniversary, a very special LILA45 Community Celebration was held in October 2023 for our entire community. To further acknowledge this milestone, LILA will host a 45th Anniversary Fundraising Gala, the School’s first gala in 5 years!

WHY

The gala’s purpose is to celebrate our school’s 45-year history, while simultaneously planning for the future. Funds raised from the gala will be allocated to LILA’s Endowment Fund. An endowment fund is an investment fund that holds its principal in perpetuity and pays out a portion of its earnings each year to support, for example, campus operations and programs. Endowment investments have dual goals: to grow the principal and to generate income. Of course, as LILA’s Endowment Fund is relatively new, we are still building to a point where funds can be withdrawn. With all proceeds from our galas, we will continue to grow the principal of the fund. As LILA's endowment grows with future donations, it will become a significant source of annual income for LILA. We are taking the first steps!

The beautiful City Market Social House, a historic warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles’ Fashion District. Once LA’s oldest produce market, the stunning vaulted bow truss ceilings, concrete and exposed brick walls, and free-flowing indoor-outdoor open-air marketplace come to life to host the City’s hottest industry events, award shows, product launches, conferences, private celebrations and more. FORMAT

Upon arriving at City Market Social House, you'll check in and receive your personal program and paddle for the evening's Silent & Live Auctions. While you are there, you can enjoy a Golden Hour cocktail on the patio until the doors to Sip & Saveur officially open at 6:00pm. AXR Napa Valley sponsors this year's Golden cocktail hour. Our Gold Package guests will kick off the event an hour earlier in Studio 13 before joining everyone in the main room. Sip & Saveur, LILA's food and beverage festival, will feature guests browsing and sampling tasty bites and drinks from a curated selection of restaurants and beverage brands. There will be ample opportunities to socialize and peruse the items featured in the silent auction. The program will also include a Live Auction and special entertainment, along with music and dancing, of course!

SCHEDULE:
- 5:00pm: Special Golden Hour Cocktail (with Gold Ticket)
- 5:45pm: Silver Ticket Holder Check-in
- 6:00pm-7:45pm: Food & Beverage Festival
- 8:00pm: Welcome from Anneli Harvey, Head of School
- 8:15pm: Program & Live Auction Begins
- 9:00pm: Auction Ends, DJ Spider Kicks off Dancing with a Fun Performance, & Late Night Snacks
- 10:45pm: Last Chance to Grab a Drink for the Final Half Hour of the Evening
- 11:00pm: - Thank You and Have a Good Night!
The evening will not be a formal seated event. This night will be designed for socializing. Guests will walk through the event eating, drinking and mingling at communal tables. It is a more fluid and relaxed format, perfect for maximum grazing and enjoying our LILA community.
Plenty of drink options will be available at our food and beverage stations.
Dress Code: The vibe is California Cocktail. We insist you look fabulous but how you do it is up to you! Please dress for the occasion but a sequin dress with some Sambas is great. Dress to be on your feet and dancing.

HOW

LILA’s Gala Committee with parent representatives from multiple campuses has been tasked with pulling together an event to remember! We cannot pull off an event of this scale without the support of sponsors, either personal or corporate. We have created a sponsorship program with opportunities ranging from $500 to $15,000.
